Running the Numbers

Depicts 48,000 plastic spoons, equal to the number of gallons of oil consumed around the world every second.

Depicts 20,500 tuna, the average number of tuna fished from the world's oceans every fifteen minutes.

Depicts 2.4 million pieces of plastic, equal to the estimated number of pounds of plastic pollution that enter the world's oceans every hour. All of the plastic in this image was collected from the Pacific Ocean.



Depicts 200,000 heirloom agricultural plant seeds, equal to the number of farmers in India who have committed suicide since 1997, when Monsanto introduced its genetically modified cotton seeds containing terminator technology into that region.

High speed photography





I think these pictures look really cool. I would love to try to do this sometime. I love the ones with all the different colors. The blur in some of the splashes also looks really cool! The one with the balloons is my favorite. I love how you can see the balloon braking. If you look at the green balloon you can actually see whatever is popping it. I think its awesome how you can actually see the balloon breaking. The colorful splash is another one of my favorites! the colors are so pretty and it just looks cool.
