Facts about JR 

1.he was born on Feb. 22,1983

2. He won a TED prize and got $100,000

3. He began as a graffiti artist in his teen years

 JR describes himself as a Photograffeur, he puts large scale photos on buildings using paper.

Modern Artists

Valerie Belin is a french artist, currently working in paris.She was born in 1964. Belin has art in all different styles, that are similar in a way. They are all basic photos of one complex item or person. Usually in black and white or simple colors.

Hendrik Kerstens is a very odd person. They photograph the same person in every photo with just something odd on the woman's head. The women in the photo has the same expression on their face in every picture too.

Moby is a new york city born man, raised in Connecticut. He started making music when he was 9 years old. he has currently done over 3,000 shows. The pictures he takes are mostly random things. Normally they are in black and white, but when they arent, they are lightly colored.

Laura L. Letinsky was born in 1962 and is know as a Canadiancontemporary photographer, best known for her still life's. A lot of her pictures are of food items. The background is normally basic and plain white. The photos are all taken in all different angles.

Philip-Lorca diCorcia takes pictures of everyday life. It's just normal people doing everyday things. His photos are very vintage looking. Its very different looking and it actually looks very cool in a way. He also has photos of different places of travel and advertising photos.

Homework

All of these murals in Philadelphia are quite similar. They are a bold and colorful. They are all attention grabbing and beautiful. They also all have deep meanings behind them. But they do have a few differences, well obviously! Some have more meaning than others may. they are all very different actually. Some people may like one and hate the other. i really love the trash trucks. They add a nice touch and totally brighten up every street they wander onto. the Details in the two wall murals with the people on them are absolutely insane. They look like they have depth to them and are 3D looking. I enjoy seeing things like these. They are very intresting to look out and think about how in the world it was done!  

Fashion Photography tips

1. Get inspired by your surroundings:              

    Have a nice background that is pretty simple so it doesn't take too much attention from the model.

2.Brainstorming

Think of a theme for your photos, have a style that sticks throughout the photo shoot. A good Photographer never walks into a photo shoot without a plan!

3. Experiment with lighting effects

Lighting is the key to every good photograph, no one wants a dark photo, or a really light one..

4.LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION!

Location is everything, having a busy background will distract from the photos focus but having too little is boring.

5. Find the perfect model for your shoot.

Dont just choose a model because he or she is famous, choose someone who can make the outfit work. 

6. Style the model

Not only do you want the models make up and hair to be perfect, but also have them pose in the right positions

7.Show the product!

Make sure the product is perfectly visible and well displayed in the photo.

8.Use Props

 Use extra props to make the photo more attractive.

9.Create harmony

Add flow to your photograph, don't let it just look like a bunch of things just thrown together.

10. TEAMWORK!

Not only should the models work well together, but also have a few people help you out "Behind the scenes"

Kevin Carter / Boston Bombing

I think that kevin Carter's work is really neat. Its really life changing to see pictures that he takes. A lot of them show people the realness of the situation. Everything he photographs is 100% real.

I think this event was very sad, i feel extremely bad for everyone involved and all of their family. I do not understand the reasoning behind wanting to hurt others. I hope they find the person behind this soon and do something about it !
